Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport & Tarangire Safari
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your private safari guide, who will be holding a sign with your name. After a brief introduction, you’ll begin your journey directly to Tarangire National Park.
Explore the park’s iconic baobab forests and river valleys, home to large elephant herds, giraffes, lions, and migratory birds. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild and continue your game drive before heading to Karatu for a restful evening in the highlands.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Caldera Wonders
Rise early and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most biodiverse wildlife arenas. Track the Big Five across lush grasslands and soda lakes, and enjoy breakfast and lunch inside the crater.
Spot black rhinos, lions, elephants, and flamingos as your guide shares insights into this UNESCO World Heritage Site. After your game drive, continue to Ndutu for the next chapter of your safari.
Day 3: Ndutu Safari – Calving Season Begins
Welcome to the heart of the Great Migration’s calving grounds. From December to March, thousands of wildebeest give birth daily across the short grass plains. Begin your day with a sunrise game drive to witness newborn calves taking their first steps, and predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas on the hunt.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild and return to camp for a fireside dinner under the stars.
Day 4: Ndutu Safari – Predator Encounters & Scenic Trails
Begin on a full-day safari across the Ndutu woodlands and open plains. This region offers off-road driving, allowing close-up views of predator-prey interactions. Track cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas as they navigate the calving herds.
Activities available during calving season (Nov–Apr):
- Sunrise and sunset game drives
- Off-road tracking of predators and newborns
- Bush breakfasts in scenic locations
- Guided walking safaris (subject to ranger availability)
- Birdwatching around Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek
- Photography sessions with dramatic backdrops
- Optional visits to Maasai communities
Return to camp for a relaxed evening and storytelling around the fire.
Day 5: Ndutu Farewell – Final Safari & Departure
Enjoy a final sunrise game drive across the Ndutu plains, soaking in the golden light and final glimpses of the migration. After breakfast, begin your journey back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport, with optional stops at artisan markets or scenic viewpoints along the way.
